Isaac: sing the rock a bible me one



Me: (Singing) Rock a bye baby in the tree top, when the wind blows the cradle will rock... when the bough breaks the cradle will fall... and down will come baby... cradle and all



Isaac: Oh no, the cradle got broken. We have to buy a new one. Pause.... At Target!!

Scene: Isaac is half-eating his cereal, half falling off his chair. Kaylee is fussing. I am trying to eat an english muffin and drink my first cup of coffee

Me (to no one in particular) Can't I just get a little peace around here?

Isaac: handing me a piece of his mushy cheerios, "here you go mommy"

Isaac: I'm not going to bed

Me: You may play for a while, but you will be going to bed soon

Isaac: No I willn't

Potty Training

I will try not to bore you (or gross you out) with too many stories about my attempts to potty train Isaac, but this is a story worth sharing.

We really are not working too hard on potty training as Isaac really has not shown that much interest, but tonight after his bath he really wanted to sit on the potty so I let him. I was sitting on the floor folding laundry and he was sitting on the toliet when all of the sudden I felt something wet and warm on my leg. Isaac had made his first tinkle while sitting on the potty! I guess now we have to work on his aim.

7 months!

She crawls

She is perfecting the "army belly crawl" and if she is wearing the right clothing she is quite effective at picking up a good amount of dog hair from the floor. We call her our baby roomba.

She sits

She eats!

She is more into fruit than veggies, and contrary to the picture she often acts like she could really just take or leave the food, but if I am offering it she usually will eat something. This is really unlike Isaac who would just sit with this mouth open begging for more!
