When Grandpa and Grandma came to town

We had a great time with Nana and Bapa over Memorial Day weekend.

Highlights:

lunch at Chipotle on the way to Boston

This is the closest Chipotle to us (2 hrs away) Since we never get there, I figured I was justified in eating 5 tacos...

Kaylee liked the tomatoes (or as Isaac would say tormatoes)

Getting conned into buying a spiderman balloon for Isaac

You may not be able to tell from the picture, but according to this guy, he is famous around the world.... and he doesn't even care about the money- he just does it for the smiles on the kids faces (or in Isaac's case a look of complete confusion- even Isaac had nothing to say to this guy) I was tempted to take him up on his offer of not wanting the money, but my mom thought better of it, and gave him a few bucks...

Not to mention, Isaac doesn't know who Spiderman is, he may have been more impressed with Bob the Builder...

At least he was lighter to carry around than Kaylee

Watching Isaac play in this thing at the Boston Children's Museum

It was a four story climbing structure. You could only get in at the top and the bottom. I think Isaac would still be in there if we would have let him

However, we convinced him to come out by telling him he could sit in a scoop.

He looks happy right?

Isaac's first kayak ride

Camden, ME May 28, 2007

I know, he isn't wearing a life jacket... he is really only a few feet from the shore in very shallow water... really...

Isaac loves the lookout tower on the top of Mt. Battie at Camden Hills State Park

You would think they would have a railing tall enough so that a two year old would not be able to fall over. You would think....

We tried not to spend too much time in the tower. Instead Matt tried to teach Isaac how to do a "sneak attack on his mother" It didn't really work as I heard Isaac YELLING "sneak attack" as he came RUNNING towards me

Sneak Attack!

Kaylee is so happy because she is not currently strapped into a carseat, backpack or stroller

She really was a trooper

Stopping at Red's Eats on the way home from Camden

Ok, no more road trips for a while

I can't wait to drive 10 hours to New York in a few weeks....

My excuse

This is the main reason I have not been faithful in updating my blog lately:

So, about two weeks ago Kaylee learned how to get up on her knees and ever since then she has been unstoppable. Now her favorite thing to do is pull herself up by something, stand there for a few minutes and then scream because she doesn't know what to do next. Or, the other option is to pull herself up and then promptly fall down and bang her head on the floor (more screams)

I was really hoping she wouldn't be an early walker like Isaac was, but now that she has gotten this far I wish she would just learn so she could get around (and hopefully I wouldn't have to be attending to her every other minute...)
