Isaac's First Day

September 7, 2010 I don't know if you can see the toy story shirt and matching lunch box. Seems to suit Isaac for his first day of school. He was horrified when I suggested he wear a collared shirt..."Mom, I'm not going to chuch you know..."

outside room 3, la clase de Senora Hager

Kaylee wanted to do this art project when for her first day home with mommy

Abbie worked on her crawling skills...everyone has something to learn!

The cake I made for Isaac. Orginally it just had his name, but his friend Nathaniel came over to eat dessert with us so we added his name, and of course we couldn't leave KK off...sorry Abbie, no room for you, I guess you can't eat cake anyway!

A song for me

I know this is a pretty popular song, I am sure most people can relate to it, but it really touches me everytime I hear it on the radio. The words could not be more true to me...

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave your hands

I have unanswered prayers
I have trouble I wish wasn't there
I've asked a thousand ways
you would take my pain away

I'm trying to understand
how to walk this weary land
make straight the paths, that crookedly lie
Before these feet of mine

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave your hands

When you walked upon the Earth
You healed the broken, lost and hurt
I know you hate to see me cry
One day you will set all things right

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave your hands

Summer Fun

With Labor Day over and school starting tomorrow, I thought it was time for a summer photo wrap-up.
Enjoy!
Safety first when blowing bubbles!

we spent lots of fun days at the beach

Isaac and Kaylee took several walking trips across the trestle (not my favorite idea)

We spent lots of time at the playground, the tire swings are Kaylee's favorite

Isaac and Kaylee loved digging for fossils at Meijer Gardens

Meijer Gardens

Can you believe Isaac climbed to the top of this rock wall at Crystal Mountain!?!

Aunt Jodi and Abbie (3 1/2 months old)

It should be noted that while not everything about this summer was happy or the way I would have wanted it to be, I truly enjoyed the days I spent with Isaac, Kaylee, and Abbie as well as family and friends.
"I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

3, 2, 1

3 hours in front of the sewing machine, 2 bibs produced, 1 cute girl to spit up on them
I know three hours is sort of a long time to spend making two bibs, but it was the first thing I sewed all by myself and I am hopeful that I can improve on that, like maybe 3 bibs in 2 hours...

Dr. Cheerleader

The diagnosis? "This doesn't look good, bring her back in one week."
Then she sent me to Isaac to check-out and schedule my next appt!
