Happy Happy Birthday

Our family celebrated a couple of birthdays this week, which proved to be a lot of fun for the kids... and it wasn't even their birthday! Cousin Katie turned 4 on Tuesday and Matt turned the big 32 on Thursday.
Happy Birthday to you!

Kaylee insisted that Rover have a birthday too, she even wrapped his presents

The cards the kids made- "Happy Birthday to the greatest Dad I ever SAW"

The gifts- MSU hat, jelly beans and a jump rope (ask Matt if he's dunked that basketball yet)

the cake

Hey- I think someone switched the numbers around

And a little mario cart wii to end the night (I think the kids let their Dad win, it was his birthday after all)
a few days later Matt opened a few gifts from his parents

Status Update

8:39 am
Just in case you are wondering what I am diong RIGHT now...

I am a farmer (trying to clean up the kitchen), Isaac is a hog at the farm (their bedroom), Kaylee is a hog at the nature center (living room), and Dutchie is a rooster (apparently roosters just pretty much lay around...)

The farmer is currently listening to the hogs discuss rather they should say oink oink or if they should make grunting noises...

Gotta go, the farmer has been informed that she needs to check the pigpen, apparently one of the hogs forgot to throw her pull-up in the trash this morning andit is causing a problem

Who says being a stay at home mom isn't the best?

Super Bowl Pics

Just a few pictures from our Super Bowl Party, I guess have Jon and Jodi over a frying some chicken wings counts as a party right?
Isaac and Kaylee making the Welcome to the Super Bowl Party sign (I had to keep them busy somehow)

Isaac and Kaylee helping make guacamole- they needed the sunglasses because when I cut the onions it made their eyes water

a superbowl party would not be complete without a cheerleader and a princess

Jon works the fryer while Matt gives his opinions from the sidelines

the cousins had a great time together!

The Best Sledding Hill in West Michigan

I think we have discovered a DeWitte family tradition- sledding on the path up the dunes at Saugatuck State Park. We had tons of fun (I didn't even sled and still had a blast), and amazingly no (real) injuries.

The cousins (and uncle jon)

walking out to the sledding hill

here comes Matt!

The picture the camera took when Kaylee and I were plowed over by Jon

After that Kaylee spent the rest of the time on my lap (in a safer location)

there goes Isaac

even Mema couldn't resist!

notice Dutchie chasing Bepa; I think the dog had just as much fun as we did

Thoughts of a four year old

"When I grow up and I'm an artist, I am going to have to wake up as early as possible. I will probably even have to make my lunch the night before. Then I will have to go to work. On my days off I will have to look for a wife."

Winter pictures

Just a few pictures from Dec and Jan. Things have settled down and I finally got everything together to be able to download pictures onto my laptop, so after a long absence, I plan to keep up with my blog again!
