that's my girl

It may be sort of hard to tell from this picture, but Kaylee is wearing a band-aide about an inch above a scrape she got on her cheek. She's had it on like that for two days. She will not take it off, because "then my owie will hurt" Somehow I doubt that, but I'm letting it go because that's my Kaylee.

Look what I made

I decided I wanted to learn how to sew.
So I bought this sewing machine.

I was thinking I would start with something sort of easy, maybe some burp clothes, or a bib or something...
But Abbie needed a costume for tulip time
Thankfully my mom was willing to help me (a lot)
And this is what I made

Making those burp clothes should be easy after this

Brutally Honest

Yesterday Kaylee said: " Mommy your tummy is still kinda big. See my tummy is small,(lifting up her shirt to prove it) but yours is still big."

This morning Isaac asked (totally seriously) if I thought maybe I had another baby in my tummy. I told him no and asked why he thought that. He said, "well, your stomach still is sort of big"

Thanks guys... I may not be fitting back into all my pre-pregnancy clothes yet, but having three cute kids is definitely worth it, even when they call me fat!

6 days

At Abbie's 6 day check-up she...

weighed 7 lbs 12 oz ;50th percentile

was 20.5 inches long (on the 2nd measurement, the first time the nurse said she was 19.5 inches long, until I pointed out she was 20.5 at birth... we decided she did not shrink...) ; 75th percentile

had a head circumference of 14 cm; 50th percentile

OK, so her stats are pretty average, but we think she is off the charts in cuteness
